Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) The competent chamber of industry and commerce supervises the activities of the insurance broker.

Advice is provided on the basis of statutory requirements. The insurance broker receives a commission from the respective insurance company for mediating insurance contracts. This commission is already included in the insurance premium and is paid by the insurance company. As a rule, this does not result in additional costs for the customer.

The insurance broker does not hold direct or indirect shareholdings of more than 10% in the voting rights or capital of any insurance undertaking. Likewise, no insurance undertaking holds a direct or indirect shareholding of more than 10% in the voting rights or capital of the insurance broker.
